Every musician has a famous quote they live by or look up too at as a source of inspiration and Didier’s is
“see I was on the verge of breaking down sometimes silence can seem so loud, there are Miracles in life I must achieve but first it starts inside of me.
And now I know my true friends… Not the ones who were there when it’s time for fun but the ones who were there when it’s time to talk business, not the ones who I always enjoyed their jokes but the ones who said let’s put Jesus first, not the ones who called or texted when they required money but the ones who said…. ” hello can I buy you lunch”. Now I know my friends, not the ones that I visited their home, but the ones who came to visit me while I was all alone In a hospital room now the ones that waited for me to win a show or a sum of money we shared but the ones who texted to check how my procedure went on. Now I know my friends, not the ones who would send me YouTube links and what song is trending but the one who should call me and talk for hours not about me but about how they are fairing on and how is life. Now I know my friends, not the ones who continuously rubbed it in my face that I have changed but the ones who embraced the real me that woke up. Now I know them….. my true friends…. not the ones who contributed for anything in my life but the ones who stayed in my life… not the ones who condemned me but the ones who defended me… not the ones who walked away but the ones who took me out for lunch and we laughed about the new millennium gossip. Now I know my true friends, not the ones who only reached out but the ones who genuinely praise me, encouraged me and walked with me and were patient with me. Now I know my true friends coz honestly, even when I couldn’t do all the above they stayed as a friend and still checked up on me. And my very true friend drove me home after my surgery my true friend prayed over the phone with me when I just could pray for myself my true friends ….. well I know my true friends. My true friends are less than 3 and they are out there. Coz my true friends were concerned they observed me but never judged me they reached out and did not condemn me…. my true friends Stayed….. “My friend” were you really a true friend? never mind… I was Just asking for a friend…….
